Monday blues!!
Monday! Why does that word just resound so negatively in our heads? Is it because we enjoyed the weekend so much and we hate our jobs? Or is it just because we subconsciously groom ourselves to say ‘I hate Mondays?’
Either could be the right answer! I know I enjoy the weekends but iIdon’t hate my job, yet I still hate Mondays.
What could change a dreary Monday to a regular day? Is it going out to dinner (like Olive Garden advertises?) or is it if you have a great start to the work week? Or would it be if we just treated it like any other day? I don’t know and it may be different for everyone
Here’s how my Mondays go - we start with an early morning meeting so it’s the day my alarm goes off at an un-Godly hour and I get to work earlier than any other day. After the meeting is done dragging and my coffee is cold, I procrastinate starting off the work week but make it productive by catching up on all my news, bank balances, bills and to dos for the week. Invariably the day drags, I eat leftovers for lunch (since Sunday is my fave day to cook), hear people complain about what a terrible day it is and watch the clock. I leave at 5:15 (not 5 because that’s way too obvious that I can’t wait to get out.) I don’t get it! I love my job (yes one of the few people in this world who do) yet I still can’t get out of the office fast enough on a Monday bloody Monday! What is it with this awful day? ….. or ok let’s try to think positive ….what could we change about a Monday to make it better?
With that, your Question of the day - What would make your Monday better?
