So I’m definitely not a gamer but am a fan of cool new gadgets that come out and whoa is this cool and new. Project Natal by Microsoft is going to change the way gamers game…..if you have heard anything about this new phenomenon, you know exactly what I’m talking about. Project Natal is a way of playing video games without using controllers!!

How does that work you ask? It is a ‘full-body motion-sensitive control system’ which means it senses any and all body motions and uses voice recognition. To fully understand how truly amazing this new way of gaming is, go to youtube and check out a couple of the very cool videos demonstrating all the different things that can be done with the new XBOX which features all the innovation of Project Natal. The XBOX can now be used not only to play games (without controllers ofcourse) but you can also ’scan’ in your own equipment such as a skateboard or surfboard and use that in your game. Other features include trying virtual clothes, literally flipping through movies and much more. Another highlight is an easier way of networking with friends who are on the same gaming system.

Microsoft announced the launch of Project Natal at their E3 press briefing and needless to say Nintendo and Sony are already claiming the soon-to-be launch of their new and improved gaming systems. I must say, yes, Microsoft’s new product is not an orignal idea, but rather an improvement upon the Wii which is really what began this new craze in gaming. As cool and innovative as the Wii was, Microsoft has definitely taken gaming to the next level.
